Financial Assistance
2020 Summer Institute of Black Catholic Studies
Xavier University
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Summer Institute of Black Catholic Studies at Xavier University (IBSC) will be conducted online. Though the generosity of the Martin de Porres Foundation a limited amount of financial assistance is available for Black Catholics and individuals advancing the mission of the Martin de Porres Foundation.
All applicants are required to pay the tuition fees in full. Reimbursements will be made available upon the completion of the Continuing Education Course(s).
The steps for requesting reimbursement are as follows:
- Complete the IBCS online Continuing Education Application
- Enroll in the IBCS Course(s)
- Attend the Online Continuing Education Course
- Complete the Office for Black Catholics Financial Request Application.
- Upon completion of the IBCS Course(s) mail a copy of your certificate of completion to the Office for Black Catholics.
** New Applicants will receive special consideration.
The deadline for completing for applying for financial assistance is Friday, May 29, 2020. Please note, the financial assistance is available for tuition fee only (books and class material is not included). The Martin de Porres Foundation will reimburse up to 50% of your tuition fees. Requests for additional funding will be considered on an individual basis. This grant is limited to parishioners registered at parish in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
All financial requests are made on a first come first served basis.
